Partying it up in a barn might sound like something usually experienced in the South, but this weekend, Gundlach Bundschu winery hosts a concert in their beloved, 70-year-old barn for indie-rock band Fruit Bats. Led by songwriter Eric D. Johnson, the band has released a solid catalogue on Sub Pop records—and the Gun Bun barn is equipped with all the necessary barnlike requirements. Be prepared to rock among the old ladders, lanterns, tools and more while dancing around to the upbeat sounds and drinking some Gun Bun wine. So, bats in a barn? Why not? Who would have thought WD-40 and a handsaw would provide a great setting to anything besides a horror film? It’s happening on Saturday, April 28, at Gundlach Bundschu. 2000 Denmark St., Sonoma. 7:45pm. $15–$20. 707.939.3015.
