Dancing for seven hours straight seems more like an event for strong-bodied Olympic hopefuls than for locals at a charity event. But when ’60s and ’70s funk 45s are added into the mix, the Funk Marathon suddenly seems less like a chore and more like rare opportunity to break out the platform shoes and bring back some undeniably embarrassing dance moves.
