I love Lyle Lovett. I mean, it’s transformed into borderline obsession (please don’t tell anyone), so in my mind any artist with close ties to him is regarded as royalty. When I first came across the great Los Angeles musician and songwriter Rickie Lee Jones, who’s both toured and recorded with my man Lovett, I was already interested. But Jones has more to brag about than the famous names she’s worked with.
