Since first opening in 1981, Copperfield’s Books has grown into the North Bay’s largest independent bookseller, with stores in Sebastopol, Calistoga, Healdsburg and San Rafael. And they’re not done growing yet. This month, Copperfield’s opens the doors of its newest location, in downtown Novato. Bibliophiles get their first look at the store with a ceremony on April 13 that includes a reception, tour and refreshments. The store officially opens on April 14, and in addition to stocking shelves, the bookstore is working on scheduling events, readings and book clubs to serve the community.
