If you’ve seen a Ken Burns documentary or watched PBS for any length of time, you’ve probably heard actor and activist Peter Coyote lending his voice to the story. Symphony Napa Valley borrows Coyote for a program of orchestral works featuring narration that includes Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait overlaid with words from Abraham Lincoln’s great speeches, and Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra offering commentary on its own instrumentation. Renowned violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky joins Coyote and the SNV for this one-time performance on Sunday, March 29, at Lincoln Theater, 100 California Drive, Yountville. 3pm. $35–$85. 707.944.9900.
