Two years ago, when singer, songwriter, producer and label owner Calvin Johnson was last in Santa Rosa, he was fronting his latest band, the Hive Dwellers, offering indie rock tinged with dulcet vocals. This time around, Johnson is bringing a whole new sound to the North Bay in his latest project, Selector Dub Narcotic, a DJ-oriented dance band with remixed club beats and potently humorous lyrics.
