After a short hiatus, the monthly burlesque revue known as Risk-A Cabaret returns this weekend with its bare skin and signature rule-bending style. “There are girls and boys of all shapes and sizes,” organizer Jodi Waseca told the Bohemian last year, “drag queens and kings, musicians, clowns, aerialists, fire performers, sideshow acts—you name it.” With male belly dancer Paige Lawrence, “burlesque mama” Violet Streak, samba queen Milk Shake and fire dancers, accordions and comedians, the night also celebrates Mardi Gras with the Fourth Street New Orleans Jazz Band.
