While listening to Brotha Lynch Hung perform live, you’d never guess that the Sacramento native, born Kevin Danell Mann, was a lonely and reclusive child. As an innovator of horrorcore rap, Hung employs hard-hitting, often stark lyrics to make his mark. Though 2010’s Dinner and a Movie eluded to a softer side, his follow-up, titled Coathanga Strangla, reaffirmed his rep. Andre Nickatina joins Brotha Lynch Hung in a concert not intended for the faint of heart Friday, Dec. 16 at the Phoenix Theater. 201 Washington St., Petaluma. 8pm. $25. 707.762.3565.
