Great art doesn’t have to be seen behind a velvet rope. Case in point: the long-running traveling exhibit “do it,” which encourages viewers to get up close and personal, coming to the Napa Valley this week. Presenting artwork, ongoing performances, take-home instructions and other commanding creations, the exhibit appeals to the young and old with special kids’ sessions and happy hour events happening over the next few months. “do it” opens with a reception on Friday, June 19, at Napa Valley Museum, 55 Presidents Circle, Yountville. 6pm. $5. 707.944.0500.Â
