Can you draw? Animals? Stick figures? I’m not any good at it myself, honestly. Luckily, there’s a Cartoonist—in-Residence program at the Schulz Museum for the artistically challenged to engage with a professional. This weekend, cartoonist Yasmin Golan will be meeting and drawing with the public; one of her larger pieces of work is an illustrated book called My Kitchen, composed of drawings from real-life encounters of the many hard-working people in the food industry. Anyone who’s waited tables certainly knows how Golan’s ink-blotted, faceless characters feel; get out and learn how to turn emotions into illustrations on Saturday, March 10, at the Schulz Museum. 2301 Hardies Lane, Santa Rosa. 1pm. Free. 707.579.4452.
