Created in 2014, the off-Broadway hit ‘By the Water’ tells the story of a tight-knit neighborhood on New York’s Staten Island that must choose to rebuild or relocate after being ravaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. For a North Bay currently recovering from wildfires and facing the same rebuilding dilemmas, the play could not be more timely.
