Festival Schedule

[whitespace] THREE PLAYS HIT the stage during the Sonoma Valley Shakespeare Festival's eighth season at the Gundlach-Bundschu Winery, 2000 Denmark St., Sonoma. Tickets are $18 a night for adults, $10 for young adults; admission is free for kids 12 and under. Shows start at 7 p.m. on Fridays and 6:30 on Saturdays and Sundays. For details, call 588-3400.

The Tempest A magical storm casts the Duke of Milan and his entourage ashore on an enchanted island. July 2, 3, 11, 25, Aug. 6, 7, 8, 20, and Sept. 4 and 25.

The Comedy of Errors Shakespeare's comic tale of misadventure and mistaken identity is given a new setting in a Wild West mining town. July 9, 10, 22, 24, and Aug. 1, 13, 14, 29, Sept. 5.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead Playwright Tom Stoppard, who helped write Shakespeare in Love, crafted this absurdist story about Hamlet's hapless college chums. July 16, 18, 23, 30, Aug. 15, 27, 28, and Sept. 3 and 11.
