In the Pipeline

THE GEYSERS PROJECT contract is signed, sealed, and delivered--and on the fast track--but there's time to put in your two cents before Santa Rosa city officials finalize the route: July 1: The City Council, along with the Board of Public Utilities, is expected to certify three supplemental environmental impact reports. The Board of Public Utilities will reconvene afterwards to consider the pipeline route alignment. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 100 Santa Rosa Ave., Santa Rosa. Call 543-3010. July 15: The Board of Public Utilities meets to make final route selection. (Selection of the northern portion of the route may be delayed owing to incomplete environmental studies in the Macayamas Mountain Sanctuary.) July 20: The City Council meets to ratify the board's route selection. If the board does not make a decision at its July 15 meeting, the City Council ratification will take place on July 27.
